Terms of service

1. The project

Your project is the tier, design, palette and any add-ons you selected and paid a deposit for, or that we agreed in a written quote. Work beyond that scope is quoted separately before it begins.

2. Payment

• A deposit of 50% of the project price is due to begin. Your place in our schedule is reserved when the deposit is received.
• The balance is due when your site is ready to publish. We publish your site once the balance is paid.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Charges may appear on your statement under S1Tech Consulting.

3. What we need from you

To build your site we need your answers to our questionnaire, your business details, and any logo or photographs you would like to use. You confirm that you have the right to use anything you send us, and that the facts you provide are accurate.

4. Projects that stall

If we are waiting on you for information, files or feedback and do not hear from you for 30 days, we will pause your project and let you know. A paused project restarts when you are ready, in the next available place in our schedule. If a project remains paused for 90 days, we may close it. Your deposit covers work already completed and is not refunded once a project is closed.

5. Reviews and changes

You will review a private preview of your finished site and may request changes within the scope of your project. Changes outside that scope, or after publication, are available through a care plan or quoted separately.

6. Contact and booking

Your site's contact form sends visitors' messages to the email address you give us. If you use an online booking service, we can link to it; booking itself happens on that service, under its own terms.

7. Ownership

• Your domain name and your content (your words, logo, photographs and business information) remain yours.
• When the project is paid in full, you may use the finished website for your business for as long as you like. The underlying designs, templates and tools remain ours and may be used for other clients; your specific content is never shared.
• Stock photography included with your site is licensed for use on your website.

8. Hosting and care plans

We can host your site and look after it through a monthly care plan. You may cancel a care plan at any time with 30 days' notice. If you leave, we will help you move your site and domain.

9. Refunds

If you change your mind before we begin work, contact us within three business days of paying your deposit for a full refund. Once work has begun, the deposit is not refundable, as it covers work completed.

10. Limits of responsibility

We build carefully and test our work, but we cannot guarantee search rankings, sales or uninterrupted availability of third-party services such as hosting, email or payment providers. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project.
